Kelly McDermott-Burns has been practicing Reiki since 2004 and teaching since 2006.
She is a Teacher/Practitioner trained in the Japanese Art of Reiki by the International House of Reiki and trained in Animal Reiki by Animal Reiki Source.
Kelly is a certified teacher of the Shibumi International Reiki Association and a Founding and Teaching Member of the Shelter Animal Reiki Association and a Regional Coordinator for the Vermont Reiki Association.
As the Reiki Volunteer Coordinator for Rutland Regional Medical Center, Kelly was instrumental in bringing Reiki to the hospital. A trained hospice and palliative care volunteer, Kelly teaches Reiki to hospice and hospital volunteers.
For many years Kelly has volunteered at Rutland County Humane Society, offering Reiki to the animals and their caregivers. She is a member of the Board of Advisors for New England Pet Hospice and Home Care.
